Motivational Interviewing—Training of Trainers for Region X Head Start Grantees
This practice-based training is designed for professionals with Motivational Interviewing (MI) practice experience who would like to enhance their capacity to train others on the concepts, principles, and strategies of this approach. Participants learn how to train staff in motivational interviewing as an approach to facilitating readiness to change.

Enhancing Home-Visiting Effectiveness: Exploring the Breadth & Depth A two-part series
This practice-oriented training experience and content is designed to enhance home visitor’s effectiveness. Participants have an opportunity to assess their strengths and needs, as well as focus on the elements of a comprehensive home-visiting process and explore five dimensions of home-visit quality that affect all aspects of the home-visiting experience.

Social Services Competency-Based Training (SSCBT) - Beginning Fall 2008
SSCBT Training of Trainers
Those who complete this training will be authorized to teach the SSCBT program locally, regionally, and nationally in coordination with Tennessee State and Portland State University.

We had 74 people attend our first SSCBT Module 4 training in May 2008. We anticipate having a future offering of this training in spring 2009 for people who have completed SSCBT.
